We may be down right now, but we're not out.
We're getting back up and we'll be better than ever.

It's great to be a Center Point Eagle!!!!!

Kim Brodie (far right) was our finalist for Jefferson County Teacher of the Year.
Congratulations for being recognized as a great teacher!

Due to lack of space in our temporary location we are
not able to produce Good Morning Center Point.

Our new school address is:
528 23rd Avenue N.W.  Center Point, AL 35215

Our telephone number is the same: 205.379.2900
All of our extensions are a little different, but you can still reach us all by calling the office.  Please bear with us as
things slowly get back to normal.

----------------------

Thank you for all the love and support we have received!  The outpouring of sympathy and donations has been humbling and uplifting.  We especially appreciate the kindness of our hosts, Erwin Elementary and Erwin Middle Schools for making a temporary home for us.

------------------------

We also appreciate everyone's understanding about our new
dismissal and arrival procedures.  After a few rough days of working out all the kinks of having twice as many students arrive and dismiss at the same time.  Our parents and teachers have done an outstanding job in making this work!
After the first week we have gotten both back to the same amount of time it took before the storm.

------------------------

We continue to work to make things as normal as possible for our students, parents, teachers and staff!

------------------------

The new portable classrooms will be in working order very soon and our second grade classrooms will be as they were.

    • Back of the school from the apartments
    • Foyer going down Music Room hall
    • The Courtyard from beside the principal's office
    • Front Kindergarten classrooms
    • Ceiling of the Foyer with our new skylight
    • Welcome to the office!
    • Another view of the courtyard
    • The new airy look of the Second Grade Building
    • The Music Room
    • The latest in education innovation, the Convertible Classroom
    • Easier access through our new front door design
    • The former roof of the Second Grade Building
    • Collapsed floor
    • Looking from the upper level into the basement
    • Another look at the collapsed floor
    • Ms. Magro's classroom
    • Ms. Alcorn's classroom

January 23, 2012 was the day our lives changed!
We had a major setback from the storm but we're all okay.
Our temporary home is at Erwin Elementary and Erwin Middle Schools.
We hope to be back home in our newly rebuilt school August of 2013.
